This triggers our anti-spambot measures, which are designed to stop automated systems from flooding the site with traffic. Some unofficial phone apps appear to be using GameFAQs as a back-end, but they do not behave like a real web browser does.Using GameFAQs regularly with these browsers can cause temporary and even permanent IP blocks due to these additional requests. If you are using the Brave browser, or have installed the Ghostery add-on, these programs send extra traffic to our servers for every page on the site that you browse, then send that data back to a third party, essentially spying on your browsing habits. We strongly recommend you stop using this browser until this problem is corrected. #Dune 2000 game for android series#
A pseudo-4x dune RTS, or one with a big scope/variety of locations like Starcraft 2, focused more on the pre-Paul era of duke Leto's time (there's an entire machine crusade series that sets up the great houses and how the universe came to be that would be a badass setting for an RTS)īut alas, I doubt I'll ever live to see another properly good Dune game.Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. Westwood's golden era of RTS (along with warcraft, starctaft, and total annihilation) were what defined me as a "gamer". I was three years old when it came out in '92, my dad sat me on his lap with a disconnected joystick and I would "play" with him for hours.įrom there, I eventually started playing it when i was about five, and moved on to command and conquer. Frank's son Brian - teamed up with legend Kevin J Anderson - wrote six prequel books (basically timeframe wise - 3 were the star wars prequels - 3 were the old republic, but all of them were god -tier good) that I think even surpassed Frank Herbert's magnum opus itself.Ĭhrist, Dune 2 was how I got into video games.

Dune is my absolute favorite universe on earth - I have the entire Bene Gesserit litany against fear memorized, and the key line - "I must not fear, fear is the mind-killer" tattooed on my arm. They historically just haven't liked or cared about video games. Problem is that Frank Herbert's estate is completely retarded when it comes to video game licensing.
#Dune 2000 game for android for free#
I won't say where, but a quick google of "dune 2 android APK" will get you where you need to go for free (game was free when it was on the google play store too) I beat all 3 campaigns and I RARELY ever play games on my phone. It was taken down (mostly since it had a suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper tiny monetization wherein you could pay a tiny bit to cheat and get units) but it was a complete, 100%, perfectly faithful port in every way, and since dune 2 used the proto-RTS control scheme of "select unit -> select task -> select location" with no drag selection or groups, and gameplay was tuned around that, it performs stupidly well on phones. *cough* dune 2 has been ported to android.
